Taking inspiration from Japanese ceremonial tea trays, a dark elegance of rich contrasting woods here conveys a sense of subtle sophistication. This Hybrid rolling station features deep rich Monkeypod wood above the recessed Cocobolo rolling area with an ultra-thin crosscut Burl shelf.
Taking the New Classic design in a blend of exotics and the addition of a sliver of our curated Burl cut creates a one of a kind accent that goes beyond the traditional rolling tray experience.

About the wood:
Cocobolo: is a tropical hardwood of Central American trees, the rare wood is a protected species often used in musical instruments. Only the heartwood of cocobolo is used; it is usually orange or reddish-brown, often with darker irregular traces weaving through the wood
Burl: A burl results from a tree undergoing some form of stress. Often never seen, most burl’s grow underground and aren’t discovered until the tree dies or falls over. Even underground, almost all burl’s are covered in bark. Burl’s are always peculiar, completely unique and feature highly figured wood, prized for its beauty and rarity.
