An elegant profile of rich contrasting woods here gives a real sense of warmth, mystery and subtle sophistication to any roll. Light Satinwood contrasts with a deep rich Purpleheart wood here with an added Burl cross-section. A recessed rolling area with solid profiled sides completes the design.
Our rolling stations take inspiration from Japanese ceremonial tea trays. This Hybrid takes the New Classic and combines one of our unique slivers of Burl for an unexpected elevation beyond the traditional rolling tray experience.

About the wood:
Purple Heart: Peltogyne, commonly known as Purpleheart, Amendoim, Violet Wood or Amaranth or other local indigenous names that refer to the deep rich color of the wood. In the genus family Fabaceae, Purple heart is native to tropical rainforests of Central and South America, from Guerrero in Mexico, through Central America and on as far as south-eastern Brazil.
Satinwood: A category of wood known for its gold, yellow color, high density, fine texture with an interlocking grain, and high natural luster.
Burl: A burl results from a tree undergoing some form of stress. Often never seen, most burl’s grow underground and aren’t discovered until the tree dies or falls over. Even underground, almost all burl’s are covered in bark. Burl’s are always peculiar, completely unique and feature highly figured wood, prized for its beauty and rarity.
